Well, we have made it home safe and sound. Sorry for the delay in blogging, but I definitely needed yesterday to recoup. All in all, from leaving Manta Ray Bay Hotel for the airport and then driving to Ramona from LAX, it was a total of 24 hours of travel. It is a little strange to think, thanks to time zones and the International Date Line, that I lived through 2 Tuesday, October 13ths, but let me tell you, I would do it all again in a heart beat. The experience of traveling to Palau and Yap was priceless and definetly worth the travel hours.
Now I am home and doing the delightful job of laundry. My body still hasn't figure out what time zone it is actually in, but when my laundry is done, I promise to work on sorting out all my pictures and posting them for your enjoyment. For those of you in the El Cajon/San Diego area, look for Rod to post the date to come to the Dive Shack to share some time with us showing you our photos and filling you in on all the things you can do in Palau & Yap.
Save the date...we are planning to return to Micronesia in January 2011. You owe it to yourself to join us!!
My travel adventure blog speaks of places I have been, places I am going, and places I will visit someday. Although, as an avid scuba diver you might think I focus only on what lies beneath the water's surface, but I also enjoy the magic of a destination's people and its physical beauty above the water, too!
